💬 Triggs is a fun and easy game in which players try to be the first to cross off all the numbers on their player sheet by playing cards.
❎ During their turn a player chooses one of three actions. First they can take two cards from the two open or one closed draw deck. This is only possible when they don’t have ten cards in hand already.
❎ Secondly cards can be played to cross off numbers. The player always needs to form piles of one or two cards forming the same number. For example playing two and nine, four and seven and eleven results in crossing off three times number eleven. When the player happens to cross off the last number in a row, they can put an extra cross in another row, possibly creating a chain reaction.
❎ A third possibility is discarding cards that don’t have any use for the player any more. For example number twelve can’t be used any more when the player crossed off every number in the twelve row.
🔸 When a player manages to play all their cards, ending their turn with no card at all, they can draw five new cards from the closed draw pile. Playing like this will avoid the actions you need to draw new cards next turns.
🔹 The first player who has crossed off all the numbers, wins the game.

💭 Triggs is a quick card game that’s easy to explain and also a lot of fun to play. You can play just going with the flow but also can try to aim to play out your hand completely, play to form chain reactions and end the game before anyone else has the chance.
There’s more to it than appears at first sight, while it’s still very accessible and can be played with basically anyone. If you love playing quick card games or play a lot of games with kids and family, this one’s definitely worth a look!
