Legacy and campaign games both tell ongoing stories, but the main difference is how permanent your choices are. In a legacy game, what happens stays, with cards getting torn up and boards marked forever. Campaign games keep the same sense of growth and story but let you reset and start over when you want a clean slate.
Some examples of legacy or campaign games are Sock Monsters, Little Alchemists and A Carnivore Did It!
