🎩 At the start, each player is given three display cabinets. Each cabinet holds three showcases – spaces where you will place your chosen artifacts. These artifacts, represented by Wonder Cards, are the heart of your collection and your route to victory. The goal? To fill these showcases with artifacts that will impress and astonish, outshining those of your competitors.
🗺️ Your journey takes you across a map divided into four areas, each offering its unique action. Each turn, you will deploy one of your agents to one of these areas. These agents can perform various actions: they might sell a Wonder Card, draw new cards, or even distribute cards among your rivals.
📜 Running between these areas are Contacts, intriguing pathways that can amplify your advantage. If you choose, you can activate one of these Contacts during your turn to gain an edge.
🃏 The Wonder Cards are the artifacts you’ll be vying for. There are six categories: Grotesques, Legendaries, Precious, Arcanes, Monsters, and Books. Each type scores in its unique way when the game concludes. For instance, Books amass points based on the number in each set. In contrast, Legendaries score higher when they stand alone, unmatched in any displays. The winning strategy is to assemble a mix of artifacts that maximizes your points.
🏆 The game reaches its crescendo once all players have deployed all their agents. It’s then time to assess the worth of each display. Points are counted for each showcase based on the type and combination of Wonder Cards within. As the dust settles, the player with the highest score emerges as the victorious curator, owner of the most prestigious collection of all.

Crafted by designers Stefano Castelli and Diego Cerreti, Chamber of Wonders takes us on a thrilling adventure of artifact collection, where your mission is to outshine your rivals. As a family-friendly game, it features language-independent components and clear iconography, making it easily accessible to everyone.
🕵️♀️ The core gameplay mechanics consist of worker placement and set collection. You dispatch your agents, represented by beautifully printed meeples, across different locations on the game board. Important to remember is that no player can visit the same spot twice throughout the game.
⏲️ Once you’ve mastered the rules, the game moves at a brisk pace, clocking in around 30 minutes per session. It’s a game that keeps you engrossed without overstaying its welcome, ideal for family game nights or quick sessions with friends.
🃏 The game mechanics urge you to strike a balance in your strategy, especially while dealing with Wonder Cards. For example, you need to think carefully when an action allows you to distribute cards to other players.

🖼️ The artwork, brought to life by Giovanni Pirrotta, truly adds to the charm of Chamber of Wonders. The game features sturdy cardboard-constructed cabinets and 3D locations, a visual treat that brings a great table presence. A word of caution, though – these components might need some time for assembly. The silver lining is that they all neatly fit into the box once assembled, ready for your next session.
🔄 Chamber of Wonders comes with a high replayability factor. With five different buildings provided in the base game and only four used per game, each session offers a different challenge. Additionally, each building is double-sided with distinct actions, further increasing variability. The Contacts present in the game also contribute to a diverse gameplay experience. And for those who want even more, Chamber of Wonders has several expansions to increase replayability further.
👨👩👧👦 In conclusion, Chamber of Wonders is a solid pick for a quick, family-oriented game that offers excellent replayability and a solid gameplay experience. Its unique blend of accessible rules, engaging strategy, and attractive components makes it a game that will find a well-deserved place on many gaming tables.
