✈️ Wanderlust takes players on a globetrotting journey, where they can immerse themselves in the wonders of the world. This game is perfect for family game nights or for friends to enjoy together, with its easy-to-learn gameplay and travel theme that is sure to appeal to fans of accessible games or those who simply love the thrill of travel.
✈️ At the start of the game, players choose their globetrotter and set off to explore the world, completing objectives and earning points along the way. The player with the most points at the end of the game is declared the winner. But the journey is not easy, and players must use strategy and planning to stay ahead of their opponents.
🗺️ The game features a beautiful, colorful map of the world, which serves as the board for the game. Players move around the map, discovering new cities as they travel. The vibrant colors and detailed illustrations bring the world to life, making the game truly immersive. Luck also plays a factor in the game, as when a city close to a player’s current location becomes a new destination, they have an advantage in reaching it first.

🔹 Planning is key to success in Wanderlust. At the start of the game, players must take a few moments to study the available destinations, tickets, and objectives. They must decide which city they want to visit, how they will get there, and what objectives they want to complete. This will help them prioritize their actions and make the most of each turn.
🔹 The more tickets a player has, the more flexible they can be. It is important to focus on acquiring tickets that match their planned journey and give them access to the destination they want to visit. Wild tickets can be used as any other ticket, making them especially useful in a pinch.
🔹 But the journey is not just about traveling from one destination to another. Players can also collect souvenirs, send postcards, and take photos, which are worth points at the end of the game. These actions can be a great way to use up any remaining action points or to gain extra points when there are no other useful actions available.
🔹 Objectives are worth a significant number of points, so it is important to complete them as quickly as possible. Players must choose locations to visit that match their planned journey and focus on completing objectives before their opponents do. The first player to complete two objectives triggers the end of the game, so it is crucial to stay ahead of the competition.
🔹 There is no one set strategy to win in Wanderlust, and the game is constantly changing with the actions of other players. The key to success is finding the right balance and adapting game decisions to the moment. Players must be flexible and adjust their strategy as needed, always aware of what their opponents are doing.

While Wanderlust: Discover the World is a delightful game that takes players on an exciting adventure around the world, it may have a couple of downsides worth mentioning. Despite featuring unique player powers and objectives, the game’s overall feel remains fairly consistent, which may reduce the incentive to play the game multiple times. Another downside is the reliance on luck, which may be a turn-off for players who prefer more strategic games. The random nature of the game, such as the appearance of new destinations and the availability of tickets, can be frustrating for those who like to plan ahead and execute a well-thought-out strategy. However, despite these downsides, Wanderlust remains a charming game that can provide hours of fun for families and friends who enjoy light and accessible gameplay.
🖌️ The prototype components we played with were of good quality, and we can’t wait to see the final product. We believe that Wanderlust will be a great addition to any family’s game collection and a fun and exciting experience for players of all ages.
