Each player runs their own hospital to prove their worth. Over the course of the game, you’ll be making investments to improve your infrastructure, while taking care of the patients that need to be treated.
The game’s played over the course of 8 rounds, each divided in 2 phases: first you take actions acquiring, playing and activating medical cards. These represent specialists, equipment, external clinics and research projects; they give you various benefits such as income or points at game end. It’s up to you to build a tableau that benefits you the most.
In the second phase you’ll be taking care of your patients healing them, by using your resources in the most efficient way. You have to make sure they’re treated in time, because patients who die are obviously bad for your reputation.

First of all: the components of this prototype are already top notch, so I can’t wait to see what the final version will look like.
The game comes with a clear rulebook and good iconography that you’ll quickly get familiar with. We find the gameplay itself challenging: it’s looking for the right balance and possible combos between your cards, and timing your bonuses, while certainly making sure to have enough resources in order to get those patients treated in time.
The game is dripping with theme and mechanically everything falls right into place – you really feel like you’re running your own hospital.

Highly recommended if you like tableau building games like e.g. Terraforming Mars or Ark Nova.
