The goal of the game is to be the first player to have sets of 4 identical Anger Cards and 4 identical Zen Cards.
Every player is dealt 8 cards to begin the game with, grouping cards of the same type so everyone can see them.
On your turn, you draw a card from the deck and place it in the middle of the play area. If the card matches a card you already have in front of you, you may collect it, and if the card matches another one already in the middle of the table, you may collect both. Pretty straightforward, don’t you think?
Apart from those Anger and Zen cards, the deck also consists of 2 different types of action cards:
BloodBoilers which you place face-up in front of you after drawing them; these allow you to steal an Anger or Zen card from another player on a next turn.
Disruptors are placed face down in front of you, and come with a special action or ability for you to use on a future turn.
As soon as a player has collected 4 identical Anger and 4 identical Zen Cards, the game ends and that player wins the game!
AngerSmash is a very straightforward no-nonsense set collection game with a good amount of take-that. The game only takes a couple minutes to explain and setup, which makes it a game you can play anywhere with anyone, perfect to play at parties or when meeting up with friends!
