🐝 Meet Happy Bee! This is a card game for 3-6 players, ages 8 and up, that you can play in about 15 minutes. It was designed by Maxime Rambourg & Théo Rivière, with artwork by Anna Formilan.
🌸 How It Works: In Happy Bee, you aim to collect the most victory points over 9 rounds. Everyone starts with 7 bee cards, kept secret from the others. Each round, you’ll choose to play one or more of your cards, trying to win the most of each type of flower card. The number of cards you play depends on the round you’re in, guided by the Bee pawn on the turn tracker. You place your chosen cards face down, then everyone reveals their choices at the same time.
🔄 Playing Cards: After revealing cards, you see who has the majority for each flower type. If you have the most cards of a certain flower, you get that flower card. If there’s a tie, or if no one played for that flower type, the flower card is removed from the game.
🏵️ Keep the Game Moving: Once you’ve played your cards, pass the rest of your hand to the player on your left and get your previous cards back. This makes sure your hand is always changing, keeping the game interesting. Every round, new flower cards are put out, and you go again.
🎲 Finishing Up: After 9 rounds, the game ends and you count up your points from the flower cards you’ve won. The person with the most points wins.
🌟 Why We Like It: Happy Bee is great for playing with family or to wind down after a game night. It’s easy to understand and quick to set up, plus it’s small enough to take anywhere. The best part? The surprise when everyone reveals their cards—it’s always full of unexpected twists!
