As a newly hired employee of Corporation Inc, a transgalactic construction company, your job is to build your own spaceship out of sewer pipes and send your ship safely to its destination, keeping it safe from being crushed by meteors and fending off pirate attacks.

A game of Galaxy Trucker consists of two phases:
During the first phase, players simultaneously build their ship from a pile of parts lying upside down in the center of the table. The players take these parts one by one and add them to their ship or put them back open on top of the pile if they are not needed. In this way, they try to build a ship and protect it from what they might encounter after launch.
When all the ships are finished, the first player to finish becomes the captain and flips through the stack of adventures. This pile contains cards, depending on the chosen difficulty level, depicting meteorite rains, smugglers attacking your ship, planets to pick up goods, abandoned ships and space stations and much more. These events will affect the time ships are underway, astronauts and goods they have in their ships, and parts they have or lose in flight.
When the last card in the stack is complete, the truckers have reached their destination and count their wins and losses. The trucker with the most cosmic credits is the winner of the game!
Galaxy Trucker is a fun game that can be easily adjusted in difficulty. The level 1 game is a flight of 8 cards, while the level 3 game has 16 cards with harder adventure cards from which you must protect your ship. All three games, played one after the other, are called the Transgalactic Trek and add some extra goal tiles to make the game extra fun.
The first phase of the game plays as a real time puzzle, sometimes a bit chaotic, while the second phase rather plays itself a bit, with the player trying their best to stay alive.
It’s this nice mix that makes Galaxy Trucker a game that’s unique in its kind!
