🔥 Inferno is here, and it’s hotter than ever! After what felt like an eternity (okay, almost a year since our initial preview), our copy of the Medusa Edition finally arrived, and let me tell you—this game has leveled up! We first got a sneak peek at Inferno last year with a prototype, and even then, it was impressive. But the final product? It practically knocked us off our chairs. Trust me, this is one board game that knows how to make an entrance!

🎨 Color explosion, anyone? Inferno is a feast for the eyes with its vibrant colors, from the souls to the layers of hell, and the player pieces practically glow. Admittedly, there are a lot of colors flying around, and sometimes it’s a bit of a brain workout to keep them straight. Thankfully, the game designers made sure each layer of hell has its own sin symbol—punched right through the souls—so you won’t get lost in all that fiery chaos.

🛢 Goodbye, boring cubes! Hello, adorable barrels! The components have undergone a glow-up too. What were once humble cubes and discs have transformed into cute little barrels for resources, scrolls for diplomas, and colorful flames for the Phlegethon River’s fiery waters. Everything has its own spot in lidded trays, and each player gets a personal tray to keep their pieces neat and tidy.

🎭 Now with more miniatures! The Guardian standees have been replaced with seriously stunning miniatures that make the game feel extra deluxe. Each miniature even has its own box, so you can store them safely along with their bits and bobs. And just when you think it couldn’t get any fancier, the deluxe edition also includes a beautiful playmat, double-layered player boards, and hefty metal coins that give each decision a satisfying weight—both literally and figuratively. It’s like the game’s trying to spoil us, honestly.

🧠 The gameplay? Still as brilliant as ever. If you like tactical games where every move counts, Inferno has you covered. Just when you’ve planned out the perfect strategy, your opponent makes a move that forces you to rethink everything—and somehow come up with an even better plan. The theme is woven so tightly into the mechanics that every turn feels like a descent deeper into hell (in a good way, of course).

📸 What you see is the Deluxe edition, complete with that awesome playmat and those shiny metal coins. If you’re headed to Spiel next week, don’t miss out on seeing this beauty in person at the Red Mojo Games booth in Hall 3 (3C310). You might even get to test it out—or better yet, grab your own copy before they’re gone!
