In Myriades, players find themselves in the role of ambitious captains navigating the vast expanse of the Great Ocean. The aim? To discover five legendary islands amidst the Myriads archipelago where their people can establish a peaceful and thriving civilization.

⛵ To start their journey, every player is equipped with a humble fleet represented by three distinct fleet tiles – green, purple, and red. Additional fleet tiles – the yellow and white ones – are set aside for later stages of the game. Additionally, the captain tile is kept within reach for the game’s conclusion. A deck of prophecy cards, bearing the future of the game, is shuffled and placed face-down, ready to steer the course of the game.
🗺️ In each round of play, players simultaneously strive to build their own archipelagos using their available fleet tiles. The revealed prophecy card sets the requirement for the round: the formation of a central island housing specific resources in exact quantities.
🌊 It’s a test of strategy and spatial awareness as players manipulate their tiles, using both sides and altering orientations, in the quest to match the prophecy. Once a player believes they’ve matched the prophecy, they tap on the prophecy card. If they’re correct, they claim the card and end the round. If they’re mistaken, play continues without penalty.
⚓ The game evolves as players collect prophecy cards. After securing their second card, players must incorporate a new yellow tile in their future archipelagos, now building with four tiles. Similarly, the acquisition of the fourth prophecy card adds a white fleet into the mix, increasing the total tile count to five.
🏆 The journey in Myriades culminates when a player gathers their fifth prophecy card, symbolizing the discovery of the fifth island. That player wins, claiming the captain tile and positioning it as they please on their archipelago, signifying their triumph and reign over the Myriads archipelago.

Myriades is a game where you can be a clever captain sailing through the Great Ocean. Designed by the creative minds of Romaric Galonnier and Benoit Turpin, who is also known for the popular Welcome To…-series, Myriades brings together fun and strategy. The game is made even more inviting with colorful and enjoyable artwork by Gorobei.
⏳Myriades is very easy to get going. The rules are simple and well-written, so explaining the game to your friends or family takes only a few minutes. Whether you are playing solo or with up to five players, the game keeps a lively pace and wraps up in about 15 minutes. That’s a big plus!
🧩 The gameplay offers a mix of real-time action and puzzles. Each player has tiles that represent their fleet of ships, and the goal is to create islands. Here’s the fun part – you have to match the resources on your islands to the ones on the prophecy cards that are revealed in each round. It’s like solving a puzzle with your tiles, and you’ve got to be quick!
👪 What’s nice about Myriades is that it’s great for everyone. Kids and adults can all get in on the fun. For families with younger kids or if players have different skill levels, the game offers a suggestion: some players can just use the first three fleet tiles throughout the game, instead of adding the fourth and fifth ones. This makes the game more balanced and enjoyable for everyone.
🏁 In summary, Myriades is a brisk game where players race to build islands with their tiles. It’s a blend of real-time excitement and puzzling strategies. If you are looking for a game that’s perfect for family time and love the thrill of real-time gameplay, Myriades is definitely one to check out!
