🏜️ The objective of the game is straightforward. Players take turns placing a load card face down on the table around the donkey. However, players must remember that each donkey has a different weight limit and ability, and loading it beyond that limit will lead to a failed load. As the game progresses, players can use favors available on the even cards to modify their load, making the game more challenging, and chaotic.
🏋️♀️ Once all the load cards are placed, players must guess whether the donkey can handle the weight or not. When the load cards are revealed, the scores are tallied, and players who made the correct guess are rewarded with a load card as points. At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins.
🤫 The core of Donkey Valley is trying to estimate what card the opponents played and discussing and bluffing about the card you played yourself. The game requires players to be strategic, deceptive, and cunning. The most enjoyable part is trying to mislead opponents into guessing incorrectly and scoring points for yourself.
💡 Donkey Valley is an easily explained card game that is perfect for groups of up to 7 players. The game is accessible, portable, and takes approximately 30 minutes to play, making it an excellent option for family gatherings, parties, or game nights with friends. Moreover, the adorable donkey characters, set against the backdrop of the magnificent Grand Canyon, make for a visually appealing gaming experience.
🃏 While there are many card games out there, Donkey Valley stands out for its charming theme and unique gameplay. The game’s designer Stefaan Henderickx has done an excellent job combining strategy, bluffing, and luck into a delightful package.
💬 In conclusion, Donkey Valley is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a quick and entertaining card game. The game is easy to learn and play, and the unpredictable nature of each round keeps things exciting. The beautiful setting and adorable donkey characters add to the game’s charm and make it a must-try for anyone who enjoys bluffing games.
