🌍 We finally had the chance to play World Wonders by Arcane Wonders, and now we can see why it’s getting so much love!
🏛️ In this game, you’re a leader trying to build the greatest city in the ancient world. The game lasts twelve rounds where you and your friends take turns building roads and different types of buildings. You’ll use gold to pay for these structures, aiming to grow your resources and city’s population, which are important for ending the game.
🛠 The big goal is to construct wondrous monuments like the Giza Pyramids or the Colosseum. These require careful planning because they must be placed next to certain types of building or over specific areas like water. The tricky part? You need to use all your gold to build them, and that means you can’t do anything else for the rest of the round. Timing is key because if you wait too long, someone else might grab the monument you were eyeing!

💭 We loved how World Wonders mixes city planning with the challenge of fitting everything together just right. It feels like a puzzle where you have to think about both the present and future of your city. And the wooden pieces for the wonders? They look amazing and really pop on the game table.
🤔 Playing this game was a lot of fun and quite challenging. We’re eager to dive back in and try new strategies.
❔ Have you played World Wonders yet? What did you think? I’m curious to hear about your strategies and what you liked about the game!
